FAQ

  • A car wrap can cost less than paint, but it depends on your car’s paint condition. Vinyl wrap won’t stick well to damaged paint, so it must be sanded first. If your paint is in bad shape, repainting is a better option because it lasts longer. Vinyl wraps usually last 3 to 5 years.

  • No. Unfortunately wrap is not a solution for paint issues, such as clear coat failure, paint peeling or sun damage. During the wrap process we may need to reposition the wrap and it will cause the wrap to pull clear or paint. This will ruin the paint and ultimately ruin the look of the wrap. We recommend if there any paint issues that it be professionally repainted or fixed before getting wrapped.

  • Yes. If rock chips are extremely bad we will discuss the matter to sand them down or not. Small scratches and small rock chips are not a problem, but large scratches or rock chips can be seen through the wrap. We recommend having a body shop sand down any large scratches and fixed properly, before wrapping.

  • The cost of a full color change wrap all depends on the make, model, type of vehicle, without or with door jambs, desired wrap color, current color of vehicle, trim level and modifications. We also offer partial wraps such as hood wrap, roof wraps, stripes, chrome delete, light tint, etc. So it is best to contact us about the details of your vehicle, so we can get you an accurate quote. Sometimes it is best to call to set up appointment to come by to look at colors and we can check out the vehicle in person.

  • A full color change wrap can take us a week to a week and half. The amount of time it takes us to wrap also depends on the job and how much needs to be wrapped. We also fully disassemble and take our time through out the process. A smaller job such as a roof wrap or hood wrap or stripes can take a day. Any job can vary based on the level detail.

  • We use the best materials on the market. These materials will last up to 3 - 5 years, if kept properly. We recommend using a liquid conditioner specifically formulated for wraps, such as Jax Wax Wrap Star or have your wrap ceramic coated with Gtechniq Halo, flexible ceramic coating.

  • Ceramic coating and any other kind of coating are great to protect the painted surface, but wrap can not go over any coatings. If a vehicle has a coating it will not allow the wrap to stick. This means that any kind of coating must be removed before wrapping. Some coatings or sealants can be removed with a strong degreaser, which we can do in-house, but a ceramic coating needs to be removed by a professional detailer.

  • Yes you can and we typically recommend to ceramic coat a wrap. We recommend a ceramic coating because it increases the lifespan of a wrap and makes cleaning your car so much easier. If you choose a satin finish wrap we always recommend a ceramic coating.

  • Car wraps are a great way to change the color of your car to something better, protect your paint, advertise your business and make your car stand out.

  • Car wraps can be pretty durable against small rock chips and scuffs. It will not hold up against larger rocks or scratches. Vinyl film is between 3 mil - 7 mils thick, depending on the brand used. Paint Protection Film is more widely used to protect paint against harsher elements and scratches. It can be between 6 mil - 10 mil thick.

  • Commercial car wraps are a great way to advertise your business to get exposure. We can do a full vehicle wrap to half wraps that showcase what your business can do and we can do small spot graphics to keep it clean and simple.

  • Vinyl films for color change or commercial wraps are made of PVC. This material soaks up chemicals applied to it. Many car products are too strong and can damage the wrap by removing its natural oils. This makes the wrap dry, discolored, and breaks down faster, shortening its life. We recommend using a pH-neutral soap without ceramics, wax, or sealants.

  • We recommend using a PH neutral soap such as WrapSpecific Soap, Griots Soap, Jax Wax Wrap Star Detail Spray, and Gtechniq Halo flexible ceramic coating. Any PH neutral soap will be safe on gloss, satin and matte finishes. Feel free to call us 864-553-1718 for any questions
